Sex Kuel Category Expert: Beth Keil
Welcome to the maiden launch of my blog about sexuality, sex, and the erotic!
This Blog is For You:
- If you ever felt shame or guilt about your sexuality, your body, or your desires (or been shamed and made to feel guilty.
- If you’re ready, wanting, or needing a safe place to explore your sexuality and desire.
- You feel like you’re missing (or missed) out on feeling sexy, juicy, and desirable.
- Wondered why you feel shame and guilt about your sexuality, your body, or your desires.
- Want to discover, uncover, or enhance your inner Aphrodite.
As in any journey, including an inner one, being curious and open will allow the wind to fill your sails!
This means you’ll very likely (I’m almost willing to guarantee) come up against prevailing winds and waves that are designed to take you off course. Currents, however, are there to guide us to explore places we might not ever have imagined!
Given that this is our maiden voyage, here’s what you might want to bring with you or leave behind, and if unsure, just choose. Remember,
YOU ARE THE MISTRESS OF YOUR OWN SHIP!
Bring curiosity. It’s a great way to leave judgment (shame, guilt, and blame) at the shore, or to toss it over if it’s a stowaway!
Judgments are a type of limitation, and they make us feel bad about ourselves, and we know how that goes, don’t we? In time, each becomes a heavy piece of baggage, weighing us down, especially when we want and need to soar!
I am not to be like the tree growing in the rock I saw, I am to soar like the raven that called to me. It’s not earth, rock, and soil that are my home, but the wind and the air lifting me to heights unknown and to an open sky to explore. Remember the voice – “Be not afraid that you can’t feel the ground below you, you are soaring so there will be none. You will rest on earth but the sky is where you belong now.” (Written when I was at Airport Vortex in Sedona, AZ)
Judgements May Be Subtle
Judgments can be very subtle. When we think there’s something wrong with us — “I’m stupid”, “I should have known (better)”, “I’m not (fill-in the blank). I know I’m not the only one who has heard these words whispered or shouted in her head!
To help start navigating those waves of judgment, let’s pull out a map as we need to understand HOW they got here. I’m only giving you the highlights, as that’s all you need right now—
We had to be taught it. It had to be reinforced again and again. Then, after years of training, we finally no longer needed to be told this. We took it in as true and as our own thoughts and words. Most of us became experts, I know I did!
It’s okay if you find yourself bringing judgment with you on this journey (you most likely will). You may pack it or it might smuggle on. But, here’s an important question to ask yourself: Are you willing to let go of what you make it mean about yourself??
One of the many beauties of this journey is you’re going to learn how to identify judgments that get in the way of your inner Aphrodite fully expressing herself!

Beth, this is really intriguing and very well written! Keep me posted! Congratulations on stepping forward. 🤗🙌👏
I really appreciate your kind words, and they mean so much to me. Growing up I got into trouble for some of the things I said or questions I asked, and now I’m blogging on it! It’s like coming full circle.
I hope to hear from you in the future as well!
