It’s My Time Now: Kavita Ahuja
Have you ever wondered how uncanny things sometimes happen in your life – which we often refer to as “coincidences”?
“If you believe this is true, then you believe in the power of the Law of Attraction.”
Events As Coincidences:
How about if you act upon an impulse to go somewhere? And that leads you to opportunities you never imagined possible. What about when you wake up in the middle of the night and have a brilliant idea and you write it down? And the next morning you read it and think “Where did that come from?”
You can think of these events as coincidences. Or you can think of them as the Universe conspiring in your favor. If you believe this is true, then you believe in the power of the Law of Attraction. Simply put, everything in the Universe is made up of energy, including our thoughts and emotions. This energy is constantly flowing and interacting with everything around us, and we are all connected by this energy.
Abraham Hicks, a spiritual teacher and author who teaches the Law of Attraction, shares that energy is the basis of everything in the Universe. And that our thoughts and emotions are powerful tools that can influence the energy around us. When we think positive thoughts and feel positive emotions, we attract positive energy into our lives. Which can lead to more happiness, success, and abundance. On the other hand, negative thoughts and emotions can attract negative energy and create undesirable experiences.
Uncanny Experiences:
Seemingly uncanny experiences are, according to this theory, a result of the energy which connects us all. But how can we practically apply this concept into our lives to lead more satisfying, and fulfilling lives?
Bruce Schneider, founder of the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC), proposes Seven Levels of Energy that people experience in their lives. These levels are based on the concept that everything is energy and that different energy levels can affect our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.
“To apply these principles in our lives, we can start by becoming aware of our own energy levels.”
To apply these principles in our lives, we can start by becoming aware of our own energy levels. And how they affect our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By doing so, we can begin to shift our energy towards higher levels by taking responsibility for our lives. Practicing forgiveness, seeking to understand others, and cultivating love and joy.
Seven Levels Of Energy:
The seven levels of energy are depicted as follows, and it may be helpful to illustrate how a woman such as yourself, in midlife, may experience these different levels of energy, especially when you may be considering, what’s next in this next stage of your life:
- Level One – The level of victimhood: You may be feeling like a victim of circumstances, such as age discrimination or feeling stuck in your current job or role.
- Level Two – The level of anger: You may feel frustrated with the lack of opportunities or the perception that society values youth over experience.
- Level Three – The level of responsibility: By taking responsibility for your life you can begin the positive process toward change.
- Level Four – The level of forgiveness: Forgiveness can be a powerful tool if you may be carrying resentments or regrets from the past. By releasing these negative emotions, you can free yourself to move forward and create a more fulfilling life.
- Level Five – The level of understanding: Understanding the perspectives of others, such as younger colleagues or family members, can help you to bridge generational gaps and build stronger relationships, for example.
- Level Six – The level of love: Through cultivating self-love and compassion, it can be transformative. Practices such as mindfulness, gratitude, yoga, and meditation can help in this regard.
- Level Seven – The level of joy: At this level, you can experience a sense of inner peace and joy by embracing new opportunities, exploring your passions, and living in the present moment. This is the level where you can create great transformation in your life.
Catabolic Hormones:
It’s important to note that all seven levels of energy are present in everyone in different combinations. Everyone has a mix of different energies, and the different levels show up in different situations. By understanding these seven levels of energy, you can become aware of how the different energies show up in yourself and in others.
There are two types of energy. When you are at Level One or Level Two, your predominant energy is called catabolic energy. This type of energy is destructive, and often associated with stress. When someone perceives a situation as being stressful, the brain creates catabolic hormones like adrenaline and cortisol.
“This type of energy is destructive, and often associated with stress.”
The purpose of these hormones is to break down the body’s cells and tissues and provide energy to push through the stress. While people can work well under stress and experience short term success, the long term impact can be draining and impact levels of fulfillment and satisfaction. When people experience stress, it is difficult to look past the stressor and see a bigger picture of the situation and the choices that could be available to them.
When you are in Levels Three through Seven, your predominant energy is called anabolic energy. This energy is a constructive, building up force and is associated with less stress. This happens because when the brain isn’t under stress, it tells the body to release anabolic hormones like serotonin or dopamine and endorphins. As a result, it is easier to focus on solutions, and tap into creativity. The less judgment and fear people have about themselves and situations, the more anabolic energy they can access.
Attitude And Perspective:
It’s important to note that neither type of energy is positive or negative, good or bad. They both serve a powerful and important purpose. The key is to know if you are experiencing them by choice because it serves you. Or by default, because it’s what you’re used to.
Can these different energy levels be actually measured? Absolutely! By taking something called the Energy Leadership Index Assessment or ELI, it measures your level of energy based on your attitude, or perception and perspective of your world. Because attitude is subjective, it can be altered.
The ELI is an attitudinal assessment which is based on an energy/action model. And differs from personality assessments like Myers Briggs or Disc, as it is not intended to label a person and have them work within that label.
Instead, by understanding the seven levels of energy you possess, you can alter your attitude and perspective. Make a shift in your consciousness, and increase your energy as a result. There are no limits as to the potential growth you can achieve!
We are all connected through the energy of the Universe – and by understanding how we can influence this through our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors – we can see real transformation in our lives! If you are interested, checkout the bio below for additional resources.
