Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes …

Did you start humming David Bowie’s song of the same title? Notice how, with just one lyric, you recognized it.

But when you think of making changes, notice how other familiar lyrics enter your mind. And they go something like this –you better have a plan!

Planning To Death Can Break Our Creativity:

Throughout the years, we’ve been told for anything to succeed, you must plan. There’s planning your family, a vacation, retirement, and even your funeral. All this planning can make embracing your creativity challenging.

The fear we’ve been instilled with is that without making a plan, you won’t be in control and that things will go terribly wrong (and it will all be your fault!).

“For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world …””

This fear is why, when you’re problem-solving and have creative ideas, your imagination quickly shifts to your intellect, which now puts the focus on how to implement those ideas by making a plan.

But…

As Albert Einstein recognized, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world …”

Planning and the intellect both have their place, but when brought in too soon, they sever your connection to your imagination and creative expression. Without this connection, your creativity and imagination are unable to soar!

Romantic Soaring!

Passion and erotic expression are not intellectual endeavors. They spring from the realm of possibilities that you imagine, including what you could experience.

Just notice the difference when you start off by imagining being with your lover and what you’d love to be doing with them, rather than focusing on the logistics and details of getting together. The former creates and fuels the story playing out in your mind and body of what being together will be like. It’s what excites you and turns you on!

Using your imagination and creating your own inner story provides you with wings to soar to new heights! After all, just knowing the mechanics of having an orgasm is quite different than the experience of coming.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-change Your Story!

Books and movies are gateways for us to soar and create our own inner story and narrative.

Soaring is why romance novels are a billion-dollar-a-year industry. It’s why there are chick flicks and erotic movies. They are designed to spark your imagination and creativity, putting you in the story, not your intellect!

“In the process, you didn’t get to play and have fun in the playground of your imaginational creativity!”

What better way to try to clip one’s wings?

So many of us were educated out of our imagination and creativity. Yes, educated out of it. School focused on the intellect and the gathering of facts. School came complete with a grading system to measure just how well you performed.

Because you spent years in the educational system, you learned to value the intellect over what cannot be measured. In the process, you didn’t get to play and have fun in the playground of your imaginational creativity!

No wonder you’d think you’re not very creative or have a good imagination! But it’s not too late to embrace your creativity.

Reclaim Your Right To Soar:

How many times have you heard that what you imagine you just made up?

But when you tap into your imagination, it doesn’t mean that it’s not true or real, it means that the information is coming from a different level. You would know this had you had time playing in that playground. It’s time to reclaim what is inherently yours, to use in all aspects of your life, including your intimate romantic sexual ones! Even if you’re not yet in one!

Three Fun Ways To Get Out There And Embrace Your Creativity:

  1. Find a picture of you as a young child and look at yourself. Think back to what life was like at the time the picture was taken. Who were your friends and where did you hang out together? What did you enjoy doing?

Why? As you answer these questions, you are tapped into your creative imagination because you are imagining that time of your life. You’re experiencing what it was like right now

“Let the scene unfold, noticing how you feel being here!”

  1. Pick a favorite movie of yours. Focus on one of your favorite scenes. Notice the characters and what they’re doing and their mood. What emotions does this scene create in you?

How does this help you? Once again, you tapped into your creative imagination! Notice how you weren’t focused on facts, but aware of the feelings and emotions in the characters as well as your own!

  1. Imagine being at an upcoming event, one you are very much looking forward to. Let the scene unfold, noticing how you feel being here! Continue to let the story unfold in your mind. Notice how you feel being here and the people you’re with (or not).

That’s right! Once again you connected with this innate creative and imaginal part of you!

How Much Fun Was That?

Now, no one can ever tell you you’re not creative or don’t have a good imagination. Including yourself! Let’s get out there and embrace your creativity.
