As a young girl, I pictured myself living to 100 years old. The vision I saw looked more like a woman in her 30’s. I do not know about you, but I want to feel as good in my body at 100 as I did in my 30’s.

Do you believe how you age is a choice? I do. A bold statement!
I do not believe we have to accept the false beliefs that as we age. The ones that say: it is inevitable to gain belly fat, suffer from joint pain, lose muscle mass, get heart disease, or worry about Alzheimers and Diabetes even if it is in our family.

The fabulous news is that 90% of the “diseases” and signs of aging are in our hands. We get to determine how we age, with fun, active, and positive lifestyle choices. We have control to live stronger.

Don’t Accept Your Current Health Situation As Fact:

“There are many proactive things you can do to thrive.”

Yes, I agree some degeneration is a given, but there are many proactive things you can do to thrive.
Ten Lifestyle Factors contribute to “Inflammaging,” where chronic low-grade inflammation is believed to accelerate the process of biological aging and diseases. Inflammaging may be noticed with more stiffness, feeling slower than “normal”, constant fatigue, and more than usual forgetfulness.
In 2020, here at Kuel Life, we will review these lifestyle factors, how to stop and reverse their effects to slow down the aging process, live vibrantly, actively, creatively, and experience what I love to say is all the “juiciness” life has to offer.

The 10 Inflammaging Lifestyle Factors/Habits:

  1. Getting “Fat”
  2. Losing Muscle – Skipping Strength Training
  3. Perceiving High Stress – Low-level chronic stress
  4. Sitting Too Much
  5. Eating too Many Carbs and Processed Foods
  6. Poor Sleep Quality and Quantity
  7. Isolating Socially
  8. Lacking Vision and Purpose
  9. Getting Insufficient Vitamin D
  10. Smoking and Drinking

Do not be discouraged if you have one or more of the above habits; remember they are reversible. You can make changes to your lifestyle, to reduce the effects of what is slowing your body down, and radically improve your health; even Age in Reverse. Take into account one area that requires the most significant improvement, begin with one step, then another. When we take change one step at a time, we see progress, adaptation, and success.

Each month I will offer solutions and provide you with tools, knowledge, and manageable ways to counteract the effects of inflammaging. I want you to live stronger. Let’s not ACCEPT “this getting older thing” as par for the course. Improve your environment and make optimal choices for aging vibrantly.

Do you agree it is not only possible but critical to enjoying the life experiences you want regardless of age?
