Denise Drinkwalter Interview Images January 2023

Denise Drinkwalter is an empowerment life coach focused on helping Moms in midlife & beyond.

Denise has been a member of the Kuel Life Community for some time now. Over the years, we became acquainted with Denise’s expertise in the realm of parenting. I am thrilled to announce that Denise is officially onboarding onto our roster of Thought Leaders. She will be offering us her wisdom and advice on Momming Adult Kids. (I know, many of us can’t get enough help on this front.)

Let’s Welcome Denise Drinkwalter:

KUELLIFE: What type of business do you own/run?

“Recognizing that this is their time to live a life of joy, peace and happiness from within.”

Denise: I am an Empowerment Life Coach, supporting Moms in their Midlife Years. Primarily, assisting them with the challenges and struggles they experience as the role of Mom changes with adult children.

I support and coach Moms to utilize the time that life gives them. To step in and become all that they can be. Recognizing that this is their time to live a life of joy, peace and happiness from within. When we as women begin to find one thing that brings us true joy, independent of needing anyone but ourselves it is my belief that then and only then you can step into living the life you choose to. I show, support, and guide women to do something every single day for themselves.

I developed a mantra that helps guide each of us daily toward this end. Empowerment in life every day for every person I have the opportunity to experience connection with. MANTRA: For you, by you, because of you

Midlife Years:

KUELLIFE: What prompted you or drove you to become an entrepreneur? When?

“These butterflies were fluttering quite rapidly showing me I was needed in a new way in the world.”

Denise: I was prompted to become an entrepreneur upon retirement in 2018 after an incredibly rewarding 31-year career in Education. I knew that there was something more that I needed to do to continue to support people in my retirement. And volunteering was not what was coming to mind.

Moreover, I did a lot of volunteer work during my career and while I loved it, it didn’t match the internal niggling that I was experiencing upon retirement. I know that when I have a certain feeling in the pit of my stomach I have always paid attention to it. And it has never steered me wrong. These butterflies were fluttering quite rapidly showing me I was needed in a new way in the world.

Taking time to become centered and tune into messages that were showing themselves to me, (Quite the story but will save it for another time) I was guided to become an Empowerment Life Coach for Moms in their Midlife Years.

Denise’s Big Vision To Support:

As I continue to learn on a daily basis there are so, so, many Moms struggling to adjust to the emotional aspects that rear their challenging faces as their children transition into adulthood. It is not only the children that change but moms can experience extreme challenges, isolation, fear, estrangement, stress, etc. And for many, this is the most difficult part of a parenting journey with very little support available.

KUELLIFE: What’s your biggest struggle?

Denise: Great question. Hmmm, I think my biggest struggle is to always remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day. I have a big vision to support and provide a world-renowned parenting service for Moms in midlife. I want to create a safe community and resource center where Moms know that it is 100% okay. To know that the struggle is real and that it isn’t a reflection of things done wrong.

“I have a big vision to support and provide a world-renowned parenting service for Moms in midlife.”

Challenges As Opportunities:

I want women around the globe to know “Oh, my children are getting older. And I want to do my best for me – to support my adult children in a way that is best for me and subsequently for them.”  I envision this service becoming a household name that everybody supports and can utilize, from all walks of life. Everyone has challenges and it is from the challenges that we get to take the opportunity to learn and step into becoming the person that we dream of becoming.

My biggest struggle is trying to get there too quickly and sometimes I wonder if it will ever happen.

KUELLIFE: What is your biggest fear as an entrepreneur? How do you work through it?

Denise: I think my biggest fear is not helping as many Moms as I dream of. I work through it by recognizing it when the thoughts of doubt and fear creep in. It is important for me to take time to process what is happening and what is the cause or evidence that this thought is true.

Tapping-In Process:

I then tap into my subconscious and center myself on what is true and get my energy into my future self-actualization through a tapping-in process using Rapid Resolution Therapy. It works quickly to re-center me and helps me make small actionable steps by creating new waves of positive energy, creating new urges, and small action steps in the moment.

“It is so easy to watch other people and try and emulate them as you like what they do and how they do their business.”

KUELLIFE: How do you measure your success?

Denise: Quite honestly I look for measures of success every day in the interactions I have with the content I share on SM. If I have impacted or helped one person, or more, every day I have succeeded in my mind. I also measure success by the increase in clients I have worked with over the years, which has seen steady growth over the last four years.

Solid Foundation:

KUELLIFE: Finally, what advice would you give other women about taking an entrepreneurial path?

Denise: The most important piece of advice I give women taking an entrepreneurial path is to never change who they are. It is so easy to watch other people and try and emulate them as you like what they do and how they do their business.

Don’t copy cat, be you and love what it is that you do. Passion and purpose must survive all else in order to keep carrying the torch forward, as it can be very challenging and isolating to be an entrepreneur. You will be tested in ways you have never experienced before so if you are well-grounded in your passion and know who you are and what your vision is for what you are doing, you will be working from a solid foundation.

If you find someone who you would like to emulate – reach out and talk to them to find out all you can. Pick their brain and learn, learn, learn, but never sacrifice who you are ever.
