When imagining The Buddha, do you see him sitting under the Bodhi tree, as he attains spiritual enlightenment?

The Magic Of Your Essence:

Would it surprise you to learn there’s another aspect to The Buddha, one where he’s involved in a very spiritual erotic sexual enlightenment?

Sounds yummy. The picture above is a statue of the Yab Yum. You see it depicted in Buddhist art in Nepal, India, and Tibet. It Is The Symbol Of Divine Mystical Union. As The Buddha sits cross-legged, his consort straddles his lap, facing him with her arms and legs wrapped around him, as he’s inside her. 

“Divine Mystical Union is an ecstatic dance and flow of sexual energy, love, and oneness.”

Their embrace symbolizes the feminine and masculine essences coming together as equals in erotic sexual enlightenment. Feminine or masculine essence has nothing to do with gender identity nor social gender equality. Sexual essence is, instead, your natural and innate erotic, sensual, and sexual desires, and how you express yourself with your lover. It’s also how you want your lover to express themselves with you!

Sharing Your Essences Embodies The Yab Yum – Divine Mystical Union

Divine Mystical Union is an ecstatic dance and flow of sexual energy, love, and oneness. It means to completely surrender yourself (emotionally and physically) and in turn, surrender yourself to your lover. Words fall short to describe it.

This is because words spring from the intellect, and not the emotions, creative imagination, and physical responses that give rise to it! It happens whenever you try to put a profound experience into words. Without your body, emotions, and creative imagination, essence dies.

Tell me, do The Buddha and his consort look like they’re engaged in some intellectual endeavor? Of course not! The ecstatic flow of sexual energy, love, and oneness is in their being – being in their bodies, feeling their emotions, and using their creative imagination!  This is what creates erotic sexual enlightenment.

Yummy Enlightenment:

“For men, you can penetrate your lover, and thus be joined with her.”

The Yab Yum is not a technique. When you gaze at this pose, it’s meant to spark your imagination and emotions, as well as your sensual and sexual needs, wants, and desires. Look at the statue once again. How does it make you feel? What physical sensations are you aware of? Where does your imagination take you?

The Yab Yum can also deepen the energetic spiritual connection with one’s lover, another source of enlightenment. While in the intimacy of this pose, you are vulnerable and open as you invite your lover inside you. For men, you can penetrate your lover, and thus be joined with her. Thus is the flow of the feminine and masculine essences!

Claiming Our Sexual Essence:

In a culture where sexuality and sexual expression has been laden with judgment and shame, claiming our essence and fully expressing it can be challenging. It can make embodying the Yab Yum, Divine Mystical Union, some lofty idea. It doesn’t have to be that way! Join me in March when we go further into expressing our Essence!
